Day 29: Brandon to Portage la Prairie

July 8th
Distance: 125km

This morning, after a great breakfast from Jack and Dona, we started toward Portage la Prairie. A warm morning, we enjoyed the tail wind tremendously!

Lunch was had in Sidney, MB, a really small town of 100 people. Everyone we have met so far along the way has been so nice and so encouraging!

Getting to Portage, we had dinner at Tim Horten's and while contemplating campsites, we met Mark Harrison, a nice gentleman who entertained us with his awesome stories and invited us to camp in his backyard. What a treat! There we met his lovely wife Barb and enjoyed their company tremendously.

With the friendliness of everyone we've met so far, no wonder its called "Friendly Manitoba"!!!
