Day 5: Osoyoos to Kettle River

What a night we had in Osoyoos! We were able to replenish our glycogen stores after gorging on Pawan's (a friend from SFU) mom's good home cooking.

We needed it too. The climb coming out of Osoyoos is a doozy! Over 1000m up, which seemed to take us the better part of the day.

It was pretty overcast for the whole climb so it was cool, and the rain held off - until we reached 'Anarchist Summit'.

So far we seem to get fair weather heading up all the big climbs, and wet, cool weather on the way back down.

The decent into Rock Creek was fairly gentle, but we did stop in at Canyon Creek Ranch to get out of the rain for a bit.

The highlight of the day: staying in a yurt (a tent structure of sorts...) for FREE! The lattice work inside was great for drying gear too =)

Thanks to the Kettle River RV Park for providing!
